Yoga with Camilla Brighton. Senior Yoga Teacher 500hour. Beginners/All levels Yoga Classes & 1-2-1

Hi I'm Camilla

I am an experienced yoga teacher of 15 years having fallen in love with the practice back in 1997.  I started teaching public classes in 2008 after qualifying with the Friends of Yoga Society in Hatha Yoga. I then took another two trainings with the most recent being 500 hour Vajrasati Hatha Yoga in 2016 in Brighton. I am registered with Yoga Alliance as a Senior Yoga Teacher.

I love sharing these incredible practices and seeing the positive, transformational effects they have on physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Rather than trying to achieve a perfect 'pose' I encourage people to listen to their body and move with mindful awareness. With clear, safe instruction, I bring you greater strength and flexibility to your body and a calmness and lightness to your mind.

It is important to me that everyone feels included in my classes with accessible options.  You can expect to be both supported and challenged in a friendly, welcoming and non-competitive space.

Testimonials

''Camilla encourages awareness of our own body with an introspective gaze.  Instead of a perfect image to copy she asks us to observe where each one of us is in our personal progress, different to everyone else's.

She guides us into exploring what works well for each one of us. I appreciate that sense of autonomy and responsibility over my exercise. For a group class, that's quite an achievement.''

Maria Kontou - Brighton

''Her yoga classes are tailored for all shape and sizes, all ages and abilities.  She always gives different options and recommends that we all listen to our own bodies - after all, each of our bodies' is different.

I feel restored, grounded, centred but at the same time, in possession of a heightened perception. I also have the best night sleep that day. ''

''I’ve tried various other yoga classes in the past but because I’m quite overweight I had struggled with some of the poses at times. Also, unfortunately I found that some instructors didn’t always engage with participants very well or check on individual progress in the classes.

Camilla’s sessions have been a really refreshing change from this and such a joy to attend as she is so warm and personable with a genuine interest in each and every participant - taking great care to ensure everyone is welcome, comfortable and most importantly safe at all times.

Everyone’s wellbeing is paramount and she always takes time to check that movements are done safely and correctly.''
